NY Times - Missing Persons: A Balancing Act for Police

A 'New York Times' interview I did way back in 2001 reflects not much has changed in respect to 'equal reporting' for all missing persons.

Missing Persons: A Balancing Act for Police

  1. Excellent article Kym--thanks for the link.

The police do have to balance their resources with the volume of missing persons that are reported. I believe there is also a great need for responding officers (since they are often the one making the call to prioritize the report for detectives) to receive training in indicators that "just another missing person report" may be something more.

Do you give interviews for blogs?

I think the work that you do is a good fit for the content of my site.

If so, my email is theslamdunktrove@gmail.com and I blog anonymously.

I found your site based on a comment that you left on my blog last month on this post.

Anyway, keep up the good work.
